    1. As hard as I try, I will never be as cool as Bowie effortlessly singing Under Pressure with a cigarette in his hand.

Melissa Villasenor does the funniest bit about this song, in respects to Mercury’s passing.

      Melissa…if you’re reading this 👋

    3. There’s a fantastic recent episode of the podcast Strong Songs about the original recording.

I don’t know why, but these are the most British looking people I have seen.

    5. Lennox, always beautiful. Bowie with a cigarette in his hand the entire time.

      Cool peaked hard that day.

Bowie just had such natural charisma and golly Brian mays beautiful mane of hair! I have seen queen live twice and obsessed with May

    7. While I love, love, love Lennox, I always feel slightly bad for the people who have to try and sing Freddie’s parts, he had such effortless power.

    8. “Don’t you feel that since he died, the world’s gone to shit? It’s like he was the cosmic glue or something. When he died, everything fell apart. So yea, I miss him. ” -Gary Oldman.

    9. I remember the sound quality on this clip being *way* better the last time it was posted, which is a shame because listening to the massive change in the quality of the performance as it goes on was the best part. Now it’s kinda lost in the buzz.

Also, how does one apply for the job of enthusiastic finger snap guy?

    10. I saw Bowie perform this with Nine Inch Nails (Trent wasn’t singing, I think it was an Indian woman who absolutely crushed it)

    11. I’m not a big DB fan (boomer age), but that was fab! Also, Annie Lennox is a dream!

    12. I loved reading about this in a book about Queen. Essentially, Bowie and Mercury wanted a collab, so they got together at the studio determined to make one. They spent a weekend bender at the studio doing TONS of cocaine to write and produce this song. Worth
